Flamingos Snowdome 70 x 70 cm oil on canvas New solo show entitled Honestly! opens on the 18th March 2011 at the new gallery space Retrospect Galleries Qld. Cnr Elizabeth Ave and Oracle Blvd, Broadbeach. Honestly kitsch, honestly ugly, honestly dishonest… snow domes make no claim to be anything other than a flawed imitation of something bigger, grander and purer. A foray into the anti authentic. A possible metaphor for the human condition – our incompleteness, our dorky charm and the hope for the future.
