Description
A mashup of early scientific taxonomy charts and illustrations, museum taxidermy, pop culture and the mass-produced souvenir. They ask questions about artifice, collection, consumerism, mimicry, wonder and beauty.
From the specific endangered Bridled Nail tail wallaby through to generic kangaroo inflatables and sporting mascots, this artwork references scientific taxonomy charts, and looks at the de- evolution of wallaby/kangaroo objects in nature as taxidermy and in culture as the souvenir.
