Over 20 years experience teaching classes, programs and workshops in Universities, Private Art Schools, Primary and Secondary Schools, Galleries
and Regional Art Groups. I am available to facilitate workshops, mentorships and residencies for all ages.
I place a high emphaisis on skill sharing in drawing, painting and sculpture. My special interest is in the practice of keeping sketchbooks as an incubator for ideas and a creative habit for life.
“Deb Mostert’s workshops inspire students to create. Her practice of social observation through the physical process of drawing allows for an exploration of subject that the iPhone snap does not. Deb demonstrates that being present with the subject over time is a reflective, mindful process and generative of the concept which leads to resolved works. I would recommend Deb to any school who has an interest in developing creative practices in their students at any level”.
