‘I guess I’ll never be satisfied because there are always more out there’ Kingfisher and Fish Knife 92 x 92 cm has been selected to hang in this years EMSLA at the Coffs Harbour Regional Art Gallery. This will be the 7th consecutive year my work has been selected to hang in this national prize. Judged by John McDonald, art critic.

A new larger version of the Frogmouth has been selected to hang in the Redland Art Awards 2014 held at Redland Art Gallery from 12th October – 23rd November

This is my 13th solo show and will be opened on the 8th August at Tweed Regional Gallery by Tracy Cooper – Lavery, Director of Rockhampton Art Gallery. The exhibition will run until the 12th October 2014. Please join me at either the opening or the public programme of an artist floor talk and a demonstration in the gallery 21st September.
‘I guess I’ll never be satisfied because there are always more out there’ Kingfisher and Fish Knife was awarded Best of Show at the Ipswich Art Awards. Judged by Stephanie Lindquist, Director of the Redlands Regional Gallery, it also won Best Still Life.
A month ago I had the wonderful opportunity to have musician Stu Larsen come to the studio for a few days and sit for me. Stu travels the world playing his music and had just come back to Australia briefly after several years touring with Passenger. He is a very genuine fellow with a simple philosophy of travelling light though life, he has few possessions and no fixed address and in his own words- ‘You look at me as if I’m a vagabond…. well, maybe

I have been pre selected for the Milburn Art Awards held at the Brisbane Institute of Art with this work of my daughter Meg. The show runs 2nd – 14th May 2014 at BIS, Windsor.
My work ‘Little Things Grew By Continual Accumulation’ – Magpies Collect 40 x 76 cm oil on linen is touring with EMSLA (Eutick Memorial Still Life Prize) and is on display at Parliament House, N.S.W 1st April – 8th May
Agnieszka and Vonny (2012 oil on panel 41 x 61 cm) was curated by Tim Morrell into this years Flying Arts Regional Art Awards. The opening was held at the State Library of Queensland 1st February and the show will tour around regional centres for 2014.
‘Little Things Grew By Continual Accumulation’ – Magpies Collect 40 x 76 cm oil on linen has been selected to hang in the Eutick Memorial Still Life Awards held at the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery, opening 15th November 6p.m. It will continue until the 18th January 2014.
From 2014 Recovery – The Flood Objects Project will be available for hire through ArtsLink Qld, (formerly Queensland Arts Council est 1961) ArtsLink is devoted to curating, supporting and touring high quality visual art and exhibition product. Recovery was shown in Rockhampton Art Gallery in August and the opening, artist talk and full day workshop were well received. This weekend saw the beautiful Vera Wade Gallery space in the ground floor of St Andrews Uniting Church, Cnr Ann Street and Creek Streets host to the opening of the Brisbane leg of the 2013 tour of Recovery – The Flood Objects Project. An appreciative crowd came to enjoy the stories and paintings. Exhibition open to the public 11 a.m – 2 p.m. Mondays
the beginnings of an investigation into birds and what they could collect. Objects and Ornithology (working title) teams birds with objects and gently prods at our own insatiable need to collect.
Nesting Options has been shortlisted for the 2013 SCAP, the 4th time to be selected into this exhibition of approximately 40 artists from around Australia. The exhibition opens 21st August and runs until 13th October at the Caloundra Regional Gallery, Qld.
